The batch solution, which consists of producing successive mixes, is the oldest and the most universal method.

This method is used all over the world, especially given the poor grain size classification of aggregates. From that point of view, hot screening is to be used whenever the materials are of insufficient quality and is optional when previous controls are satisfactory.

Moreover, this system is recommended for any pick-and-choose type of production, where customers call for varied kinds production, both with respect to the formulations and to quantities.

From the operational point of view
3 main advantages :

1. screening enables granular reconstitution, irrespective of the quality, and enables a scalping of non-compliant materials with their particle grain size reclassification.

2. mixing time can be varied for adjustment to specific formulations (special and coloured coatings). 

3. Production can be adapted to all customer requirements, thanks to the multiplicity of the changes in formulations to adapt to numerous and various orders of small quantities.
